Forever Grand Vacations was honored last week by being presented a Certificate of Appreciation by the Masonic Lodge in Branson. Past master, Herb Terrill, was on hand to present the award for the help received by the lodge in raising money for their annual Christmas basket drive. Terrill began, “Without the support of local companies like Forever Grand Vacations this year’s drive would not have been such a great success.”

“The brothers of Branson Lodge #587 receive names from many different organizations, schools and churches” Terrill went on to explain. “These are local families in our own backyard that are experiencing hard times and might not have means to have a holiday dinner. Forever Grand Vacations was kind enough to donate five hundred dollars to this drive so that these families would be able to experience some of the joy of the season.”

Forever Grand Vacations CEO Eileen Most was on hand to accept the certificate and said, “The Masons are just trying to make sure that these families have a nice Christmas dinner including turkey and all the fixings. Knowing that the kids will get a toy or two from Santa makes all of us at Forever Grand Vacations proud and happy to be a part of such a worthy undertaking.”

This year has been particularly tough on many families in some parts of Stone and Taney Counties. “The poverty rates have definitely gone up” says Terrill “and this year the support was especially overwhelming by companies like Forever Grand Vacations. We work all year long to help fund this basket program and the amount of families in need was significantly more then usual. Without the support of local business like Forever Grand Vacations, we would probably not be able to accommodate all the requests we received this year. Hopefully, the economy will improve next year and some families we helped this year will be self-supporting or even able to help another family come by this time next year.”

Forever Grand Vacations is a travel club that holds previews of their membership daily at the Apple Tree Mall in Branson. Anyone wanting to make a donation to the Christmas basket fund or anyone seeking more information regarding Forever Grand Vacations membership packages can do so at Forever Grand Vacations’ welcome center located in the Vista Plaza directly across Highway 76 from the Walmart.
